These unit were originally sold unknowingly with defective lamp sockets.
The original manufacturer of the lamp socket was most apologetic. ELMO, to
make good on its
reputation, recalled all the units and offered to fix or replace each unit...
even
though some schools had already placed their markings on the units. ELMO has
removed
those markings, leaving behind perhaps a buff or smudge. Subsequently, they
can't sell these units as new.
Now ELMO has these factory refurbished units in almost new condition available
through us at a great savings.
